We're so excited to celebrate with you on the beautiful island of Antiparos! To help with your travel plans, here are the two main ways to get from Athens to Antiparos.
Both options involve a quick stop on the neighboring island of Paros first, as Antiparos doesn't have its own airport.
Book ASAP as Antiparos is a very popular destination this weekend!
FROM USA TO ATHENSIf you're traveling from the United States, Athens International Airport (ATH) serves as the main gateway to Greece, with direct flights available from several major US cities. Option 3: there are a number of Axopar rental companies where you can make a day of traveling to Antiparos (and even do some island hopping along the way!) This is a bit of a pricier option so coordinating with a group.
SeaJets and Golden Star Ferries depart from the port of Rafina, Athens second most popular port.

Tickets are only sold inside the boat. You can not pre-book your tickets.
The Antiparos – Paros ferry boat trip duration is about 7 minutes.

Staying in Antiparos vs Paros Island
Paros is right across from Antiparos and is a much larger island (This is where you will fly into/arrive by Ferry). The Ferry to cross to Antiparos is only 7 minutes and runs every 30 mins. However, we do recommend if possible to stay in Antiparos for the wedding night due to the late-night logistics (the ferry stops around 2:30/3 AM during the summer months).
That said, Greek weddings often extend beyond this time with dancing and celebrations, so there's a risk of missing the last ferry as we plan on everything run late (at least until 4), leaving you potentially stranded until 6 AM when they start running again or needing to arrange a water taxi (which can be pricey and weather-dependent).
To make the most of the evening and avoid any stress, we highly suggest securing a spot on Antiparos; it's closer, more convenient, and lets you fully enjoy the party without watching the clock! If Paros is your only option, please let Liz know and we can try to help plan return carefully and help you coordinate with others for rides or shares.
We will have the welcome party on Paros island on Friday night, however this party will end around 2 am so you will be able to get back to Anti-Paros before the ferry stops.
